Before the advent of LED, Compact Fluorescent Lamp(popularly call energy saver bulb) was the king. The advent of LED shows that it saves energy cost than the traditional energy saver and even has a longer lifespan. Hence, the king was overthrown. The discovery of SMD shows that LED technology is inferior. This is because SMD at lesser energy consumption is brighter than its LED counterpart.
